Your Bike in NYC. I'm not sure that this series is art,
much less FINE art, but I'm putting it up here nonetheless.
I used to be a serious amateur bicycle racer here in Nebraska,
where I live. But I spend a lot of my time in New York City,
and it occurred to me to make some pictures of the many
cannibalized bikes I saw there for the edification of my Nebraska
friends. Maybe you'll be amused by these bike pictures, too.
(Note the white bike in one of the pictures. These are sometimes
referred to as a Ghost Bikes. There are a fair number of these
around the city; they are memorials and mark places where
cyclists were killed by car traffic.)
